38. Jeff Beck - Truth (1968)

After leaving The Yardbirds, Jeff Beck recruited the then little-known Rod Stewart as vocalist and Ron Wood as bassist. His debut album Truth was a groundbreaking one that is regarded as one of the prototypes for heavy metal, but the album has never gainned the praise and attention by the critics, compared to guest musician Jimmy Page's latter-day debut album, Led Zeppelin I, that turned out to be much more famous than Truth. Truth features many hard-driving guitar blues-rock classics and Beck's cover of Willie Dixon's "I Ain't Superstitious" has since become a classic rock staple.
